How many dogs related books have you noticed in the Library.
Not in the Non-Fiction section, but in the fiction.
You can start with Spot, Blue,Kipper, and Clifford in the Picture books and add in Buster, Carl, Murphy, Martha, and Daisy among others.
There are also Some dog related stories in the hardpage baskets.
In Easy Readers you will find "Why Benny Barks", stories about
Henry and Mudge, Pup, ...
Than you can move over to the Juvenile Harback, Paperbacks and Series. There you will find an Irish Wolfhound by the name of "Dragon" in a story written by Edwards, "101 Dalmations" (and 102), "Because of Winn-Dixie", "The Adventures of Aku", "Balto", "Hachiko", "The good dog" by Avi, and series like Wishbone, Hank the Cowdog, and Animal Ark. Of course in the Humour section you will also find
Snoopy and Odie.
In the Teen Room you will find Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's
"The hound of the Baskervilles, Jack London's "The call of the Wild", "Big Red",
and even doggie comics like "Get Down".
In the Adult area, you can start with Mysteries from Susan Conant
and her two Malamutes, "A bloodhound to die for",
"Sight Hound - a novel", "Red Dog", "Orchid Blue",
Lauren Berenson , Carol Lea Benjamin, Sue Henry write dog related mysteries. Many authors such as Rita May Brown write pet related stories which include dogs.
Of course, many of the books fund in the teen room are also to be found on the Adult shelves.
